Join us on a journey of faith and fellowship as Pilgrims of Hope for the Holy Land!
WHO WE ARE
-
Hope for the Holy Land is a movement dedicated to renewing and encouraging pilgrimage.
-
We are Christian - but we welcome anyone with an interest in the Holy Land who wishes to see all its communities thrive.
-
We are non-profit (awaiting CIO status) - but we welcome collaboration with any ethical tour company experienced in Holy Land travel. As part of an online community of thousands, we wish simply to provide a resource where diverse groups and individuals can find a company and itinerary that suits them.
-
We aspire to the Gospel values of justice and peace, rejecting all bigotry, antisemitism and islamophobia.
OUR MISSION
-
To encourage, promote and facilitate pilgrimage, providing a resource where potential travellers can find information on all aspects of Holy Land Tourism and pilgrimage.
-
To share experience and contacts with other pilgrims, publishing regular blog posts and newsletters to facilitate this.
-
To invite tour companies with experience of travel to the region to add their own blog posts, advertise their itineraries and connect with would be pilgrims and to promote the tour guides and businesses indigenous to the Holy Land.
-
To cultivate an online community where people in the UK can connect with their brothers and sisters in the Holy Land.
-
To facilitate a space for people to share ideas, testimony, experience and prayer - as well as a platform for fundraising and ecommerce.

OUR MOTIVE
-
We believe that pilgrimage is a spiritually transforming act that strengthens the faith, broadens the mind and deepens the compassion of the pilgrim.
-
We believe that pilgrimage also has a transformative effect on the communities we visit. The absence of pilgrims in the last two years and its effect particularly on the Palestinian Christian communities of the West Bank has illustrated this.
-
We believe that Holy Land pilgrimage can help to bring a just and lasting peace to the region as a thriving economy and flourishing Christian community will be essential elements for a long term peace.
Visiting the Holy Land earlier this year prompted us to respond to the following call to action from the Bishops of the Holy Land Co-ordination who visited at the same time:

"Do not be afraid to come on pilgrimage. But come as pilgrims of solidarity. Visit communities like Aboud, Ephraim-Taybeh, and Ramallah so they too can draw inspiration from your faithfulness. Meet the local people, listen to their stories, and buy their crafts. Your presence is a powerful message that they are not forgotten."

Ours is the Incarnational faith. If any people should understand the holiness of presence and the theology of fellowship, it is surely the people of Christ!
The Living Stones cry out.
Our response is to follow our Saviour's example 2000 years ago in Bethlehem:
